In the first leg of the European Championships Poland and Greece played in Group A 1:1 – the hosts took the lead through Lewandowski in the 17th minute,and in 51st minute for Greeks aligned Salpingidis.

In the 44 minute Sokratis Papastathopoulos got a red card (second yellow) and in the 70th Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was sent off to. Karagounis a minute later missed a penalty, and until the end, result has not changed,so both teams will go to the second round with one point on the account.

Both sides were left down to ten men 20 minuted to the end,but the result remain the same 1-1.
