In this quarter-final match at the Olympic football tournament games in London 2012,their strenght will weight two football teams which were not defeated in the group stage. The host,Great Britain and South Korea who is always unpleasant. Otherwise, the British, thanks to the two victories and only one draw have won the first place in group A, while the Koreans with two draws in Group B table have finished behind Mexico.

But that for this match has no special significance, since it is a knock-out stage, so the British must be maximally concentrated and they must continue with good games from the last two rounds of the group stage, if they want to achieve the passage in the semifinals.

Namely, they opened the competition with a bit disappointing 1-1 draw against Senegal, but then they celebrated against the United Arab Emirates with a secure 3-1(Full match video Highlights), and in the last deciding match with Uruguay they have shown a very strong character of the team and in the end they celebrated with 1-0 win (Full match video Highlights).

The only goal scorer was Chelsea´s striker Sturridge, while an excellent game provide and his teammate from the last line and midfield, where the manager Pearce, otherwise made one change, leaving little tired Giggs on the bench, and instead was sent to the pitch a lot more agile Sinclair.

That in fact has led to a shift of Ramsey in the position of the central midfielder, which he really likes to play the most, while Cleverley is automatically moved to the right side, which proved to a big hit, so it is expected that with the same formation and positions they start the match against South Korea.

Also, in the attack next to Sturridge is again to be expected an experienced Bellamy, while the last line in the match with Uruguay seemed pretty safe, so there should be no changes.

Great Britan Probable lineup : Butland – Richards, Caulker, Taylor, Bertrand – Cleverley, Allen Ramsey, Sinclair – Sturridge, Bellamy

South Korea Preview

We have already said in the introduction that the selection of South Korea hasnt been defeated in the three meetings of the group stage, but they also managed to overcome only Switzerland with 2:1, while the matches with Mexico and Gabon have ended without any goals.

It just tells us they have a very strong and reliable defense, which will certainly be on a great torment against the great British strikers, but we also believe that their midfield, led by Celtic plyer Ki Sung-Yong, in this match will get a lot more defensive tasks.

As for the attack, there should be very dangerous, because Dong-Won Ji and Park Chu-Young are playing for Sunderland and Arsenal, so they know very well their opponents, and certainly will try to make the most of their possible errors . .

Otherwise, their entitled to the three older players they have used well , and as for already mentioned Arsenal player at the Olympic Games they have brought the great goalkeeper Jung Sung-Ryong and defender Chang-Soo Kim, who in fact were one of the strongest parts in this team in the group stage. For this quarter-final match are expected absolutely the same composition as in South Korea´s previous three matches.

South Korea Probable lineup : Sung-Ryong Jung – Chang-Soo Kim, Seok-Ho Hwang, Young-Gwon Kim, Suk-Young Yoon – Ja-Cheol Koo, Sung-Dong Baek, Sung-Yong Ki, Bo-Kyung Kim – Dong-Won Ji, Chu-Young Park

Prediction : Of course, that this selection of South Korea has a maximum respected, but we nevertheless believe that the British in front of their fans will not miss the opportunity to reach the semifinals and the big match with Brazilians.
