The UEFA European Football champion Chelsea will play in the semifinals of the World Cup in Japan against better teams from match between the Mexican Monterrey and the Asian Champions League winner,it was decided by draw on Monday..
In the first round of the competition which will be held from 6 to 16 December in Japan, Chelsea will be free, while the first appearance in the semifinals Blues will have on December 13. Asian Champions League winner will be decided in early November.
Winner of the Japanese league championship, which finishes 1st December, will open the tournament with a match against New Zealand’s Auckland City in Yokohama.
Better team from that match will play in the next round against the African champion, who will be decided by a tenth November. The team that reaches the semi-finals from that part of the draw will play on 12th December against Copa Libertadores champions, the Brazilian Corinthians .
Finals and the match for third place will be played in Yokohama on 16th December.
