Guests have celebrated in both matches of Group B in the third round of the Champions League. Schalke with 2-0 was better than Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, while Olympiacos with 2-1 was better than Montpellier.
Arsenal have suffered a first defeat at home in the group stage of this competition´s since 2003rd. when with a 3-0 Inter defeated them. This Wednesday the Germans won at the Emirates, but primarily thanks to the Dutch players.
In 76th minute Ibrahim Afellay with a header passed the ball to his compatriot Klaas-Jan Huntelaar who has struck for the visitors’ lead.
Ten minutes later, Afellay himself has scorer his first goal in the Champions League, after a fast counter attack on Jefferson Farfan´s cross from the right side.
Schalke with this victory has taken the top of Group B, while Arsenal will have a chance for a rematch, for two weeks in Gelsenkirchen.
