The 24-year-old Corinthians powerful midfielder Paulinho , confirmed the signing for Andre Villas-Boas team, Tottenham Hotspur.
Rumors which were in a lot of media, in recent days, now have become a real news,as Tottenham have secured the signing of Brazil international, Paulinho. The player himself, has confirmed his move to London,at a press conference, only a day after his team trashed Spain 3-0 in the FIFA Confederations Cup Final at Maracana.
Paulinho press conference was very emotional , as he cried on a number of occasions after saying a goodbye to the Corinthians with whom he won the Club World Cup last year.
With the reported fee of £17 million , the 24-year-old Paulinho would become Tottenham’s record signing.
“The proposal came in, we sat down, analyzed and resolved it. I’m sure I made a great decision going to a big club too. There comes a certain time when you need new challenges,” said Paulinho.
In 167 games for Corinthians, Paulinho scored 34 goals.
