Chelsea Football Club and the French champion, Paris Saint-Germain have agreed terms for the transfer of David Luiz to the French club in a world record fee, the news confirmed English club on the club’s website.

Luiz, who joined Chelsea FC from Benfica in January 2011 for a fee of £21.3 million, with Chelsea has won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup but this season the Brazilian has failed to become a regular under Jose Mourinho, started only 15 matches decided to follow Juan Mata decision and leave the Stamford Bridge.

Interest in Luiz showed the Spanish Barcelona and Pep’s Bayern Munich, but obviously the PSG was the fastest, and his offer the most generous. The old new French Champion, who were fined €60m by the governing body splashed a sensational £40 million offer for Luiz.

“The move is now subject to David Luiz agreeing personal terms with PSG and passing a medical examination.”

It is believed that Chelsea use the money from Luiz deal and bring an Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa whom the manager of the London club Jose Mourinho heralded as the first wish in the summer transfer window.
