Arsenal are ready to engage in battle with Liverpool for the Croat defender Dejan Lovren, and the Gunners want to include Morgan Schneiderlin into a deal for whom they have shown interest even before.

Both of the aforementioned players are ready to leave the ranks of the “Saints” primarily because the team considerably is weakened. As a reminder, earlier in the summer, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert signed for Liverpool, Luke Shaw moved to Manchester United, while the manager Mauricio Pochettino took Tottenham bench.

It is believed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will wait for the official offer for Southampton’s duo, at least until he get a definitive answer from Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez. For Lovren and Schneiderlin “Gunners” are ready to offer 30 million pounds.

Liverpool has raised a bid for Lovren to 20 million pounds, but after the sales of Lallana and Lambert, Southampton raised his price!

Lovren has believed that the “Saints” would let him go if any club offers 20 million pounds for him. Liverpool has offered just such a sum, but Southampton refused the offer and asking for more.

It remains so to see how things will unravel, and Lovren who joined the Saints from Lyon to pre-season training with Southampton should join on July 21.
