Bayern Munich in the first match of the second round group stage of the Champions League in Russia against CSKA Moscow celebrated a minimun 1-0 win thanks to Thomas Muller who scored the only goal of the match.

Match in Moscow was decided by Thomas Muller who in the 22 minute from the penalty spot converted successfully what in end proved to be and the only goal of the match.

By the end of the match both teams had several opportunities to score. The greatest chance for CSKA, with hit crossbar from distance, missed Ahmed Musa in a one-on-one situation with Manuel Neuer, but the German keeper saved his shot.

On the other hand Muller, Arjen Robben and Xherdan Shaqiri had their chances to score for Bayern but all of them were stopped by the home side’s keeper Igor Akinfeev.

After two rounds of group E, Pep Guardiola’s Bayern is the leading team with six points, while CSKA are with any points.
