West Ham United will face the Premier League Champions today at the “Upton Park”. The Hammers does not have a good Head to Head record against Manchester City , as in the last year they faced them 4 times and lost all of them with an aggregate score of 14-1 in favour of Manchester City. But, this season West Ham find themselves 4th in the table with 13 points after 8 weeks, only -4 points from Manchester City , who stands second in the table.

West Ham United
Beside the bad record against The Citiziens, Sam Allardyce believes that this season they got better chances of beating the Premier League title holders.

West Ham have made some good transfers this summer : buying Diafra Sakho from Metz and Enner Valencia from Pachuca. Valencia impressed at the World Cup with his nation, by scoring two goals [ vs Switzerland and Honduras ].

Sam Allardyce admits that last season at the Capital One Cup semifinals, his team couldn’t do much since they were suffering many injuries. Once again he stated that they’re a different and a better team than the last season so they’ll try to repeat their top performance like they did vs Liverpool.

“We’ve got a different team to last season,” Allardyce said.” “There wasn’t much we could do in the Capital One Cup semi-finals due to injuries at that time. We’re in good, confident form but for me it’s about getting the players to their top-level. We’ll have to play like we did against Liverpool, probably even better.”

Possible Line up : Adrián, Jenkinson, Reid, Tomkins, Cresswell; Noble, Song, Amalfitano; Downing; Sakho, Valencia.

Manchester City
After the disappointing display at the Champions League this midweek , The Citizens will try to come back with a win this week-end.

Manchester City was leading the game 0-2 at the first half against CSKA Moscow thanks to Aguerro and Milner. But, they came up with a poor performance in the second half , as CSKA equalised the game with two goals scored by S. Doumbia and Natcho.

Manuel Pellegrini will have to play without Lampard today , as he picked up an injury at the 4-1 win vs Tottenham , but the chilean manager will count on Aguerro , hoping that the striker will continue his fine goalscoring form. Alongside Lampard, Samir Nasri will also miss the game as he did undergo a surgery last month, but he will probably come back next week.

Possible Line up : Hart; Sagna, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy; Fernandinho, Fernando; Milner, Touré, Silva; Agüero.
