The Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund confirmed the signing of the former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kevin Kampl from Red Bull Salzburg for a transfer fee of €10 million.

The Slovenian International who started his career in Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen have returned to Germany to play again in Top levels, but this time with Borussia Dortmund.

The German side have strengthen their midfield with the 24-year-old, who had a great role and influence at Red Bull Salzburg where he helped them to win the Austian double and to reach Europa League last 16.

Kevin Kampl will look to do the same thing with Borussia Dortmund, as the German side had a terrible start of their domestic campaign, fighting for relegation.

“Kevin Kampl will sign a long-term contract with Borussia Dortmund, keeping him at the club until 2019. Both clubs agreed details of the transfer fee shall remain undisclosed,” a statement on Dortmund’s official website.

Kevin Kampl has made 31 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg this season, scoring 11 goals and creating 16 of them.
