Cesc Fabregas’s Chelsea came out victorious with just 1-0 scoreline against Manchester United, having only 29.7% possession in the game.

The Spaniard has hailed Jose Mourinho’s master plan against Manchester United as Chelsea become ever close of becoming the champions of England after 5 seasons. 2 wins in the remaining games and Chelsea will lift the 2nd trophy of the season.

Eden Hazard scored the winner against Manchester United to give Chelsea vital 3 points.

Fabregas supported Jose’s plan to start Kurt Zouma and give him the duty to mark Marouane Fellaini.

Talking to Chelsea website Fabregas told, “We had to put someone on [Marouane] Fellaini, especially for the long balls, so yes our style changed. I thought Zouma did extremely well.

“His future is as a centre-back but he can do the job very well in central midfield when needed. He played very well against Spurs in the final of the Capital One Cup, against West Ham and again this weekend.

“If I played there normally I would struggle a bit more to deal with long balls and the physical aspect of the game. That’s why Mourinho is who he is and has won what he has won. The plan worked very well.

“When you win it’s always a job well done, especially against Manchester United. We know we couldn’t afford to lose because they are behind us and we didn’t want to give them hope.”

Chelsea face Arsenal next in a mouth watering encounter at the Emirates and all the focus will be on Fabregas.

Former Arsenal man added: “We are level on games now, we are 10 points in front and we don’t want to give [Arsenal] hope to put pressure on us. We know the Emirates is always a difficult place to go.

“We just want to win [the title]. The sooner, the better. We want to give satisfaction to the supporters. It’s been five years for them; for me it’s been 27 years so I’d love to win it as soon as possible.”
