It seems that any transfer target that Arsenal boss Wenger picks ends somewhere else. Despite high interest from the Premier league side the Colombia international striker has agreed to join the Italians “fallen” giant, AC Milan.

The Colombian striker Jackson Martinez next season will play at the San Siro. Porto president Pinto da Costa confirmed the news.

“I have just learned that Jackson Martinez has chosen AC Milan,” Da Costa told Porto Canal. “This is what he wants, I just want him to be happy. AC Milan will pay the €35 million clause.”

The 28-years-old Martinez who is currently in Chile on international duty waiting for the opening match of Colombia vs Venezuela, arrived to Porto in 2012 from Chiaspas. Last season (2014-15) in all competitions for Porto Martinez scored 31 including eight in Uefa Champions league. In each of his three seasons in Portugal in Porto’s shirt Martinez ended as Primeira Liga first scorer. With Porto in 2013 Martinez lifted the league title.

In the three years he spent in Portugal playing for Porto, Colombian in 90 games scored 67 goals, on average 1.34 goals per game.
