In the first game of Group C, Venezuela shocked the World Cup quarter finalists and the Copa America 2001 winners with a minimum 1-0 win, unexpectedly but deservedly.
The only goal of the match has scored Zenit striker’s Rondon in the 60th minute of the match with a fine header. Shock in Colombia which lined the best possible lineup on the pitch but it wasn’t enough.
In second match of Group C Brazil much harder than expected celebrated against Peru. Barcelona striker Neymar was the key man in Brazil’s win. Things from the start did not go well for Selecao as already in the third minute C. Cueva uses an error of Brazil’s defence and puts Peru into a lead. Only two minutes later Brazil hits back over Neymar, and the score 1-1 remained until the second minute of the injury time when Douglas Costa in his debut on Neymar’s brilliant assist scores a winning goal for Dunga’s side.
Brazil and Venezuela after the first round are on top having three points, while Colombia will have to look for some points against Brazil and against Peru in a must win game.
Neymar’s brilliant assist for a win
Neymar's ridiculous pass makes it all too easy for Douglas Costa to score what has to be the game winner. #BRA https://t.co/pQY22mWVpM
