In the Round of 16 Juve got a tough opponent in Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund who struggled a lot in Bundesliga this season, but the German side in Champions league played on the top level. As soon as these two teams were drawn together, many remember the Champions league Final at Olympiastadion in Munich from 1997 when these two teams played in the final. German side enrolled a 3-1 win then and lifted the UCL’s trophy, but Juve took a revenge perhaps with two wins, both in Turin and smashing BVB in Dortmund and with a total of 5-1 sealed the Champions league quarter finals stage. Doing so Bianconeri have shown that they might have an x-factor and that this year they have a time which could ruin plans for some other teams.

Many could not point at winner ahead of Quarter-finals two games, as both teams were in a fine form. With that said, a one goal was more than enough for Juve to book their place in the Champions league semi-finals stage. The Chile international Vidal from a penalty in Turin scored an only goal in 180 minutes.

Despite reaching the semi-finals stage a draw set the Bianconeri to play against the current Champions league winner, Real Madrid. All the bookies were in a favour of Real Madrid, but an injury crisis and La Liga run with Barcelona proved to be a tough thing to leave aside for the Spanish side. Carlos Tevez has played a superb game in Turin and most thanks to him Juve grabbed the first-leg 2-1 win. In Spanish capital Madrid, at Santiago Bernabeu, given the result 2-1 from the first match, Real Madrid stand yet for a favourite to reach the finals, but Allegri’s men have had their own plans, and they spoiled what could be the Champions league El Clasico. Ronaldo scored already in the first half from the penalty to cancel the first match score, but the Los Blancos’ former player, Alvaro Morata scored in the 57th minute a goal which booked Juventus’ place in the Champions league Finals.
