After failing to sign Porto striker Jackson Martinez who will join Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia (on his way to Inter), the Rossoneri have splashed €30m to sign a Colombian Goal Machine, scorer of 34 goals in the last two La Liga seasons, Carlos Bacca from Sevilla FC.

Negotiations between two side have began and finished this Saturday. The La Liga side was trying to push back the Italian fallen giant, but AC Milan’s Adriano Galliani then decided to splash €30 million which is enough to activate Bacca’s transfer clause.

The 28-year-old Bacca who was linked with another Serie A side, AS Roma and the English Liverpool, after his medical in Milano will sign a 5-year contract with AC Milan and at the San Siro should earn arround 2.700.000 per year with a bonus option of another 300.000 euros.

The news has confirmed and the player agent Sergio Barila who told Milan News

“I can confirm that Milan and the player have reached an agreement.”

“Carlos has chosen the best for his future, it is normal to be happy.”

“The agreement is for how many years? You are best asking the Rossoneri.”

This is already a second transfer of AC Milan who previously has bought from Genoa Andrea Bertolacci, while it’s expected that the Rossoneri in this transfer window will sign a few more names. Carlos Bacca’s transfer to AC Milan will be the fourth most expensive in club history after Rui Costa, Inzaghi and Nesta.
