Arsenal are interested on signing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as according to the Sun, Arsene Wenger has already prepared the cheque book in order to bring the Gabon International to Emirates Stadium.

After stating reaching the top of the Premier League and stating that he will make some moves on January, Arsene Wenger has already started to “play” on the transfer market. After the agreeing the deal for Mohamed Elneny with Basel [ which will undergo his medical next week ], and being interested on PSG starlet , the French manager has lined up for Pierre Erick Aubameyang.

Olivier Giroud has been on form as he have scored 15 goals in 28 appearances this season, as the most memorable performance was the one against Olympiacos where his hat trick secured Arsenal’s qualification to the Knock out stage. Despite that , Wenger wants to add more firepower to Arsenal attack as Aubameyang has been fantastic with Borussia Dortmund this season , scoring 27 goals in 27 appearances.

The 26-year-old could fit very well on Wenger’s tactics as he can play upfront but also on the wings. He would be a great addition given to the shortage of options upfront for Wenger – as Welbeck is currently injured and Walcott is a very much injury prone too.

Alongside Arsenal, their rivals Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested on the Gabon International, but Wenger side is the favourite as they’re currently on a good form, position and have a better financial offer.
