Just eight days after their last match and 5-1 hammering at Anfield, Arsene Wenger’s men will seek revenge over Reds in the FA Cup at their Emirates Stadium. But, this time, Gunners will be without the Spaniard Santi Cazorla and the Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenal suffered really a heavy defeat by Brendan Rodger’s side, where even at the half- time was a high 4-0 score for Liverpool thanks to two goals of Martin Skrtel and one each from Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge. The Liverpool wunderkid, Sterling later scored fifth for the Reds, while Mikel Arteta scored for Arsenal a consolation goal from penalty.

With this defeat and the midweek’s draw at home against Manchester United, Arsenal dropped from the first place, behind the leading Chelsea who have one point more now.  Rodger’s side is currently on the fourth with four points less than Chelsea.  Arsenal improved their defence already in the next match , against Man Utd, and we’ll see can they do the same  again and take their revenge over Liverpool, who according to Rodger’s words is targeting the FA Cup trophy. Another possible key factor here, is the first lineup of Arsenal, as Wenger is keen to mix the starting lineup for other competitions.

As we said above, Brendan Rodgers said, that Liverpool is aiming for the FA Cup trophy. The Reds from Liverpool, are in positive momentum, especially after a high win over Arsenal, and even more their form was shown against Fulham in the midweek action when twice Liverpool was behind and still managed to win thanks to Steven Gerrard’s later penalty winner.

Still, it must be said, Liverpool was a dominate team in that match, and Reds first star, Luis Suarez, was a key player against Fulham. Does Arsenal have what it takes to stop Suarez and the company at Emirate ? We will know  answer to that soon, but for now all advantages are pointing to visitors side.

Regarding the FA Cup cup , Arsene Wenger’s men overcame north London rivals Tottenham 2-0 in the third round, before beating League One outfit Coventry City 4-0 to seal their place in round five

Liverpool have faced lower league opposition in both of their previous outings, recording a pair of 2-0 wins over Oldham Athletic and Bournemouth.

Arsenal welcome back midfielder Mathieu Flamini who served his three-match suspension for the red card he picked up in the 2-2 draw at Southampton, while Glen Johnson is doubtful for this match for Liverpool.

Arsenal probable lineup : Fabianski – Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal – Flamini, Wilshere – Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Rosicky ? – Podolski

Liverpool probable lineup : Jones – Kelly, Agger, Sakho, Cissokho – Allen, Gerrard – Moses, Suarez, Luis Alberto – Aspas
