German football champion Bayern Munich announced on Thursday that the club have have reached an agreement with the Spain giant Real Madrid over the move of the Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso (32) in their ranks.
Xabi Alonso only has a routine medical examination which will be done during the day and he will sign for the Bavarians club in a deal worth €10m.
After shocking World Cup for the Spaniard who came as title defending champion and were sent home much more than expected , already after the group stage, Alonso has announced the end of his representative career. During 11 years with the national team Alonso has won two European championship titles and one world title.
Alonso will join compatriots Pepe Reina, Juan Bernat, Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez in Bayern .Guardiola wanted Xabi Alonso as a replacament for injured Martinez, who will pause for at least six months because of a ruptured cruciate ligaments.
