The Spaniard Rafael Benitez is the new coach of the current European champion, Chelsea. Announced that the Stamford Bridge club at the official website, adding that the Spaniard has signed a contract until the end of the current season.
Chelsea site states : “The owner and the Board believe that in Benitez we have a manager with significant experience at the highest level of football, who can come in and immediately help deliver our objectives.
“The 52-year-old Spaniard is due to meet the players at the training ground in Cobham tomorrow”.

“Yes, I heard that Di Matteo was fired, but no one from the club has contacted me. Of course it’s very attractive job and such an offer would be hard to refuse,” said Benitez.

To Remember, Benitez has gained fame as the coach of Valencia since 2001. – 2004. year. Six years later he led Liverpool to the 2010th and on short time became the coach of Inter Milan. Since the beginning of 2011. year he is without a job.
Benitez biggest achievements were the winning of Spanish La liga and UEFA Cup with Valencia,while with Liverpool he has won the Champions league trophy.
