Bordeaux Girondins will welcome Olympique Marseille at their Jacques-Chaban-Delmas Stadium, and try to win third match in a row, while the guests after PSG´s blunder against Rennes 1-2 will try to win this match, and jump on the first place of the French Ligue 1.
Bordeaux Girondins have started this season superbly in the national league and in the Europa league, and thanks to some good results they hit the top of the table.
Maybe they got little to relaxed and so they have played several matches on poor level, and the result of it,was few defeats and a draw, while the last defeat in Ligue 1 was on a guest appearance at Bastia, where they lost with 3-1.
Next was a defeat in the League Cup at Montpellier 1-0.It looks like that this bad run, forced them to be more focus, and to consolidate their ranks,so they enrolled three victories in a row.At home against Toulouse in Ligue 1 and in the Europa league with the same result 1-0 against Maritimo.
On the wings of these two victories,Girondins have traveled to Lorient, and with high 4-0 celebrated. So in one good atmosphere they are waiting this Sunday match with Olympique Marseille.
For this match coach Gillot doesn’t have any problems with injuries so we can expect formation of 4-2-3-1 so we can expect the first lineup with their best players inside like Carrasso, Mariano, Planus, Henrique, Tremoulinas, Plasil, Sana Ben-Khalfall.
Considering that the last season they finished on the 10th place, and that several players have left the club,it was expected that Olympique Marseille this season will have a lot of problems.
But, coach Elie Baup has done a tremendous job with his players who have successfully celebrated on 8 of the 11 matches in all competitions ,and the result of it,is they are sharing the first place with rich PSG.
However, after a series of good results, Marseille has fallen in bad form with only one victory from the last seven games, so surely this match against Bordeaux comes at an inconvenient time for them.
Romain Amalfitani is finally ready to play while,Joey Barton does last match suspension.Loic Remy and Gennaro Bracigliano have sustained injuries and so joined the list of injury players where from before are Andre-Pierre Gignac and Leyti N’Diaye.
Marseille probably will play in 4-2-3-1 formation with Mandanda, Fanni, Diawara, N’Koulou, Morel, Kabore, Cheyrou, Amalfitani, Valbuena, A. Ayew and J. Ayew.
