Borussia Dortmund and Ciro Immobile have officially confirmed a deal by signing a five-year contract that will take effect from July 1 this year.

Neither Borussia Dortmund, nor Ciro Immobile for a long time were hiding an agreement, and now it’s officially after Immobile has put a signature on a five-year contract with the German side led by Jurgen Klopp.

Immobile in Borussia comes with a reputation of the Serie A top scorer last season, after scoring 22 goals for Torino.

” With Ciro Immobile we get a dynamic attacker, already proven in the top league and in an impressive manner. His qualities perfectly fit the profile which Borussia wanted and we get a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski,” said sporting director Michael Zorc of Borussia after signing the contract.

The 24-year-old Immobile professional career began at Juventus from where he was borrowed to Siena, Grosseto and Pescara. In 2012 he moved to Genoa, where he stayed for one season before leaving for Turin.

With Adrian Ramos, who has already signed from Hertha Berlin, Immobile should be a replacement for Robert Lewandowski who will continue his career at Bayern.
