The former Chelsea goalkeeper, Petr Cech admits that he wouldn’t have joined Arsenal is he did not believe on the squad strength to win the title , and he states that the team are in the right way to win it.

Petr Cech left Stamford Bridge after 11 great seasons with Chelsea to join their city rivals , Arsenal. During his stay at Chelsea, he won 4 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cups and also was a key part of Di Matteo’s team that won the Champions League on 2012.

So far this season, The Czech Republic international has helped Arsenal to reach the top of Premier League table, also he broke the record of most clean sheets on Premier League, which was held by David James.

Cech admits that it wasn’t easy for him to leave Chelsea, but he choose Arsenal because he believed on their strength to win titles. He also admits that if he didn’t believe on this team, there would have been to reasons to join the gunners.

“It was not an easy decision but I always wanted to go to a team which could win. If I didn’t believe that I was going to a team which could win then I don’t know why I would come.” stated Petr Cech.

Since Cech joined Arsenal this summer, he won the first trophy with the gunners, the Community Shield against his former team, Chelsea.
