Cristiano Ronaldo with two goals to Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final second leg match enrolled himself into history. The Portuguese scored the 15th and 16th goal in the Champions League this season, with which Ronaldo surpassed the current record holder Lionel Messi who had 14 goals in one season in the elite club competition.

Ronaldo for this, however, needed only 10 games, while Lionel Messi the same did in 11 games. Still, Cristiano Ronaldo will play in the final, with a better team from the match between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, and so will have an opportunity to even increased the number of goals this season on his account.

The second place Lionel Messi shares with José Altafini, who is in season 1962/63 for AC Milan in the Champions Cup then has scored 14 goals in nine appearances for the Italian club.
