Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone have not refused a possible return of his former profilic striker Diego Costa to Spain during the January transfer market.

The Spanish International has joined Chelsea on summer 2014 for £32 million after a great season Diego Costa had with Atletico Madrid – where he helped his team to win the La Liga title with 27 goals and reached the Champions League final which they’ve lost vs Real Madrid only after the extra time.

The 27-year-old has agreed to join the Blues on a 5 year deal with a salary of £150,000 a week. He was a key player for Jose Mourinho on his success on Premier League campaign after scoring 20 goals on 26 appearances. But, his happy times at London are currently over as he’s in doubt of leaving the Blues after a disappointing season as he have managed to score only 5 goals.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Cholo Simeone would like to have Diego Costa under his management once again after the summer signing of Jackson Martinez has been a flop so far and Fernando Torres is not on his good days.

According to close resources, Diego Costa would welcome a transfer back to Atletico Madrid, but he want assurances from Diego Simeone that he would be his main striker. This transfer could cost the departure of Jackson Martinez, who has attracted the interest of Chelsea.
