Brazil and Mexico played a goalless draw in the first match of the round 2 of the World Cup Group A.
Both team had their chances, but to be fair, Brazil were better team on the pitch. Mexico’s goalkeeper Ochoa has shown a superb performance to frustrate the Brazilians as he denied Neymar and Thiago Silva on a few occasions, so brave Mexico took a point against the team which supposed to be the best nation in football. Home soil is another big advantage for the host, still the first game Brazil turned after going behind against Croatia only after Fred’s dive and given penalty.
This Tuesday, Real Madrid winger frustrated with a score tried to dive inside penalty box, but the referee knowing that there is NO real contact for the penalty denies Marcelo’s wish. Still after the game end, Marcelo decided to talk about it and claims that penalty should be awarded, even the whole world saw just another dive from the Brazilians.
“He pulled me. If he hadn’t done that, I would’ve taken the ball. I would’ve made it to the ball and crossed it to one of my team mates.”
