The 20-years-old member of the German U-21 national team, who came to Leverkusen from Bayern Munich in 2013th, accepted an offer from the English club and will join the Reds on July 1.
“Emre Can has developed rapidly as a player in the last 12 months at Bayer, and we’d like to keep it. However, the exit clause was a part of the contract and we wish him success,” said Bayer CEO Michael Schade.
