England national team coach Roy Hodgson has named 23 players whom he will take on Brazil at the World Cup this summer.

On his list actually there are no major surprises, and Roy Hodgson decided for a young team which among others include Ross Barkley, Jack Wilshere, Raheema Sterling, Chris Smalling, Alexa-Oxladea Chamberlain and Luke Shaw.

Hodgson perhaps gambled by including to the list Arsenal duo Jack Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain despite the fact that the end of the season both finished injured. Out of Hodgson’s list expected is the 33-year-old full-back of Chelsea FC, Ashley Cole who earlier announced his representative retirement. Everton’s Leighton Baines and Southampton’s Luke Shaw will fight for this place.

England midfield will make the experienced players like Liverpool’s Steven Gerrad, Chelsea’s Frank Lampard, Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Manchester City’s James Milner.
