Gerardo “Tata” Martino (50) is the new manager of the Catalan giant Barcelona…

Former coach of Newell’s Old Boys arrived at the Catalan club Monday afternoon accompanied by two of his associates Elvio Paolorroso and Jorge Pautasso. Martino signed a three-year contract. Argentine in Barcelona inherited Tito Vilanova, who resigned due to health issues.

To recall, Martino was the first choice of the best player of Barcelona, Lionel Messi, who a year ago exactly pointed to him for a coach with whom he would like to work someday.

Martin in his career so far trained seven different clubs, but so far none from Europe. Since 2006 to 2011 he was a national coach of Paraguay, and in this period (2007th year) he received the award for best South American coach.
