Guardiola: ‘Arsenal will give everything’

Pep Guardiola believes that Arsenal’s desperate need for a win could work in favour of the London club when they meet his Bayern Munich team in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday (20th October).

In this situation they have an advantage because for them they have to win and when that happens with this kind of players at this club with this history, they are going to make the best performance as possible.”

Pep Guardiola, Bayern Munich head coach (on Arsenal being desperate for a result):

“I prefer my situation obviously. I prefer to come here with six points, but I can imagine my team with zero points against Arsenal at the Allianz Arena in Germany, how would be the mentality of my team. In life when you have the last chance you give absolutely everything and that’s going to happen tomorrow with Arsenal’s players.”

“I know we can not control 90 minutes here in London here against Arsenal. We have to be ready to defend sometimes as a team. They want the ball, we want the ball and the team at the end that keeps for more time the ball, that team will be close to winning the game.”
