In the final Group A match , Mexico with a 10-minutes salvo netted three goals to Croatia and sent Niko Kovac’s men home earlier than expected.

Croatia had to win this one to seal the second place in Group B, but uncovincing approach and a poor offensive part resulted with a 3-1 lose and early home coming. Until the last 20 minutes, there were no goals and both teams have setted up their tactics, carefully, with the aim to not concede any goal. That tactic, bounced to Croats as inside 10 minutes they conceded three as R. Márquez 72′, A. Guardado 75’and Man Utd striker J. Hernández 82′ scored. Ivan Perisic netted his second World Cup goal, but it was to late for anything more. Croatia are going home, while Mexico will clash with the Netherlands.
