After smashing four goals to Portugal , Ghana withstood Germany with a 2-2 draw in the match where Miroslav Klose scored his 15th goal at the World Cups and tied the currently record hold by Brazil’s Ronaldo.

Ghana who surprisingly lost the first game against the USA, had to avoid defeat against Germany to keep their chances alive of reaching the last-16. After Mario Goeze’s opening goal in the 51st minute Ghana turns the game with goals of Andrew Ayew just three minutes later, and Asamoah Gyan in the 63rd minute. Ayew scored with a header, while Gyan whipped a finish across Neuer after perfectly weighted pass from Muntari . It was Gyan’s fifth World Cup goal and he become the first African player who scored a goal at the three World Cups.

With a pressure of losing, German boss makes a key substitutes with sending Miroslav Klose in. The player thanked to him by scoring his 15th World Cup goal and levelling the score to 2-2 in the 71st minute. Klose even had an opportunity at the end to bring victory to Germans, but the scored remained the same. In the last round Germany plays against the USA while Ghana will seek their chances against Portugal, who is playing against the Americans this Sunday.
