MANCHESTER CITY welcomed the Italian side, AS Roma in the second round of the Champions League at Eithad. The match ended without any winners , 1-1.

AS Roma in Manchester experienced one of the worst defeats in club history, it was seven years ago against Man United (1:7), and the Italians now came back hoping to grab at least a point. They did it and even Garcia’s men were closer to win than Man City..

However, the match began disastrous for the Italians. Already in the fourth minute naive Maicon pulled Aguero’ shoulder in the penalty area and caused the penalty. Aguero took the ball and gave the Premier league reigning champion a 1-0 lead.

AS Roma switched then to “gear up” and scored equaliser trough their captain Francesco Totti who used Hart’s slip after Nainggolan’s cross and with chipped lob levels the score to 1-1.With this goal Totti has become with 38 years and 3 days the oldest goalscorer in Champions League history.

In Group E of the Champions League the leading team is the German champion Bayern Munich with six points. Roma has four points, Man City one and CSKA have no points.
