SALVIO TO LIVERPOOL?
Recent reports in Portugal suggest that Liverpool are closing in on Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio. Salvio’s representatives flew to England to negotiate a deal with Liverpool.
Liverpool also appear to be interested in Nico Gaitan as his agents have held talks with an unnamed club. Gaitan has a £42.6million release clause in his current contract, but Liverpool are likely to be able to do a deal for much less.
Both players could look to move as they just won the league title with Benfica and could relish new challenges in the Premier League.
LAVEZZI SIGNS FOUR YEAR SPURS DEAL.
Tottenham have apparently signed Ezequiel Lavezzi from PSG for £10.7milllion. They have tied him down to the club for four years and greatly boosts Tottenham’s attacking line up as they push on to challenge the top 4.
Lavezzi fell out of favor with Laurent Blanc and is delighted to move. Lavezzi would be a great player for Tottenham as he is a top player and has proven himself on various levels.
Pochettino looks to strengthen his squad and has started early.
MAN UNITED AND OTAMENDI AGREE PERSONAL TERMS.
Manchester United are looking to finish rebuilding their squad quickly as now they have agreed personal terms with Nicolas Otamendi. United look elsewhere as Hummels reportedly will stay at Dortmund after their season of twists and turns.
Reports in Spain say that Otamendi and United have agreed a £3.5million-a-year deal – a pay rise of 150%.
Manchester United still need to negotiate a fees with Valencia holding out for £36.5million.
