Chelsea stunned the Anfield as the Blues ended the Reds’ 11-game winning streak with a 2-0 away win. Steven Gerrard’s slip proved to be a fatal one, when Demba Ba scored an opener. The Reds who were committed to attack got punched with Jose Mourinho’s defending tactic and a pre-game announce that the Blues will start a game with a second team. A very late goal of Willian on assist of the ex-Reds player, Fernando Torres sealed a 2-0 win which breathed a life into Chelsea hopes of winning the Premier league, but also helped Man City to win the league title.

Error that could mark the career of Steven Gerrard

The key moment of the match occurred at the end of the first half when the Reds captain and icon , Steven Gerrard, slipped and lost the ball at the midfield, and his “gift” took the quick Demba Ba, who sent the ball past Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Mignolet. A big error of Gerrard which proved to be a key one, and if at the end Man City takes the titles, certainly it wont be easy to Gerrard.

Man City with a win over Crystal Palace moves to 77 points, but the Citizens still have a one game less to play. Will Everton save Liverpool?

Liverpool in the next round plays a match with Crystal Palace (away) while in the last round the Reds are playing against Newcastle at the Anfield. Manchester City, however, have a heavier schedule.
