Real Madrid legend Luis Figo predicts Cristiano Ronaldo joining Barcelona in the near future.
The former Portugal player who joined Real Madrid from Barcelona in 2000 now sees Ronaldo moving in the other direction.
Luis Figo sees the same the thing happening with Ronaldo, where Barcelona can trig his buyout clause to lure Ronaldo to Barcelona. Similar move happened with Figo when Real Madrid paid his buyout clause £37.2m and after that a world record fees for the player.
Ronaldo who was recently crowned Europe’s best player twice in a row has buy out clause and any club can trigger it to buy the player.
Ex Real Madrid player said, “We are in a free market, if there is a termination clause, anything can happen.”
Figo commented on his move to Real Madrid from Barcelona, “The first reason was for Real was the recognition by the president of Real Madrid. So things were getting more serious and I received the offer and I reported it [to Barcelona] with a view to improving my contract.”
