Pep Guardiola’s men twice had a lead at the Emirates, but the under-fire Wenger and his team twice responded to snatch a point against the Citizens. A draw which to neither team was good, since it left the Gunners on the 6th place while Man City dropped to the fourth place.
Sané opened the scoring early in the game (5′) when he used a long ball from Kevin de Bruyne, held off Hector Bellerin with ease, and rounded Ospina to give the Citizens an early lead.
Arsenal deservedly leveled the score trough Walcott in the 40th minute. Only two minutes later, another shock for the Gunners as Aguero scored another for Man City, bringing his side a new lead before the end of the first half.
In the 54th minute, Arsenal responded once more. This time Mustafi headed the ball after Ozil’s corner past Caballero. The same result remained until the end, despite both teams having their chances to find a winner.
