Barcelona coach Luis Enrique on Tuesday (19th January) ahead of his Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg on Wednesday (20th January) away to Athletic Bilbao, whom Barcelona beat 6-0 this Sunday (17th January).
“I see Neymar at a much higher level than last year – and last year’s level was already incredibly high. And that is regardless of whether Leo [Messi] plays or not. Nowadays we have such good attacking players. Ask our rivals and you will see. They can chose to focus on one of them and they still have two to deal with. Or if they focus on two of them, they still have another one causing danger. Add to that what we have in our midfield and defence areas. That is what makes this team a great one.
“We are delighted to have such a busy schedule because it means we are alive in all competitions. It is true we will have to evaluate and manage those minutes in order to reach the end of the season in good condition. The calendar is like that. I think it is overly packed and I wish we could have full weeks to work on important aspects of our game – but this is what we have. It comes with the package when you are Barca’s coach.”
