Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looked ahead on Monday (7th March) to the two-time defending champions’ FA Cup fifth round replay at Championship side Hull City on Tuesday (8th March) – a repeat of the 2014 FA Cup final.

Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager (Q: “Is the FA Cup the most realistic chance of silverware (this season).”):
“You don’t think like that. I believe, championship (Premier League) is far from being over. I’ll just remind you that we have beaten twice Leicester, so we have done our job against them, and, so people have more to look at the other teams, not so much at us on that front, and that we will not give up in the championship, we’ll fight ’til the end.”

(asked if he feels under more pressure than at any other point in his time as Arsenal manager):
“I have always the same pressure. It’s the pressure I apply to myself. That’s always the same. After that, what people talk, you have more people talking than 20 years ago. More opinions. But, that doesn’t change the pressure. The real pressure is from, comes from your desire to win the next game. That’s the only one that matters really.”

(asked if he is proud to be the longest serving club manager in Europe after Ronnie McFall left Northern Irish club Portadown on Saturday):
“No, not especially, no. I think, I feel privilege to have the confidence of the club for such a long time. On the other hand I think, I work seven days a week, with full commitment and, I’m not part-time. Since I’m here I’ve shown full commitment and that’s all I can do. But, apart from that I believe it’s a privilege to work at the club of that stature for such a long time.”
