Man City v Crystal Palace
Pre Match Video
Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager (on being held to a scoreless draw by Everton in their last game)
“No because the performance of the team was exactly the same as we have done in other games. I think that we have so many options, we dominate absolutely the game, we have a lot of possession, we have a lot of chances that for different reasons we couldn’t score (from) but you cannot be worried when you are playing that way. You are worried when you don’t create chances. But having that amount of chances, that possession of the ball, it is very strange that this team doesn’t score. It was an accident. It happens in football a lot of times, but now we must continue trying to play in the same way and I am sure that we are going to score.
“Well it is important to try and not drop points here at home but always important to try and win away. I think that finally, for me, it’s not good to try and divide what happens at home and what happens away. One of the things, one of the most important things that I think we have as a team is that we can win or lose the game, but we are always trying to go for the three points (regardless of whether we are) playing away or playing at home. We have lost some games that maybe we didn’t deserve to or maybe we made some mistakes, but the mentality and the style of the club is always the same so we try to make there (to be ) less difference between playing away and playing at home.”
