Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane on Cristiano Ronaldo & previewing the Roma Champions League tie at the Bernabeu on Tuesday (8 March) speaking at the Real Madrid facilities in Valdebebas, Madrid.

“No. I don’t. I am the coach and I want Cristiano. Regarding the boos, I was booed too, and I think all of us were. I don’t think it´s something focused on one player, supporters want more out of their players. I think that’s something good for the players, to make them improve and always give their best. But at the end I think the crowd really love these players. Eventually.”

“I’m not worried. they’re a good team who are coming to play here tomorrow. But I’ve always said I’m more worried about my players, about what we’re going to do. We know it’s a tough match, we’re going to have a difficult time. If I have to say something about Rome, their forwards are very strong and good.”

Roma coach Luciano Spallett player Diego Perroti are hopeful of a shock result against Real Madrid despite being 2-0 down from the first leg.

“All coaches, like myself, are very demanding. We ask a lot from our players but I go a little bit further: I ask the impossible. I saw my team yesterday at the practice and they seemed to be available for anything I would ask from them. If that´s the case, we can do anything. Everything is possible.”

“We’re here to score at least two goals but the more we can score the merrier. We know we have our chances so we´ll put everything at stake tomorrow. Anything can happen on a football match. We´re here after winning seven consecutive matches scoring many goals, so we’ll leave everything on this pitch tomorrow.”

” It´s easy to praise Bale, but I actually prefer to praise my players because they’re doing very well.”
