Klopp admits that Liverpool will have to be “really really good” to beat Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday (20th March).

Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager (Q: You’re eighth in the league. What is a realistic target for you to finish in, fourth, fifth? Can you say?)

“I can’t. If it would help then I would do it but I think it makes not too much sense because there is only Southampton, only Southampton and then two weeks (international) break wehere all the players are around the world and I think that’s pretty difficult so hopefully we have a good squad, a good lineup for Southampton because of course it was intensive yesterday (v Manchester United) again and so we need to figure out who will be available, who is in the best shape, who can play the Southampton game. And then hopefully they all come back (from the break) healthy. That’s pretty important. There are two very important games now for the national teams because they are I think the last tests before the squads are made for the European Championships so it’s an intensive time for the players and hopefully we will have all of them available for the rest of the season.”
