A way back in September 2004, Champions league first match with Chelsea was and the first one for him. It was exactly against Paris Saint-Germain, and Mourinho aims to do the same. However, now things are different as the French side have built up an impressive team, led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. PSG practically have clinched their second in a row league title, having 13-points more than the second placed, AS Monaco, so they turn focus to this game, as they are eager to win the Champions league.

To do so, they need a good result against the English side, but knowing their home record this season that doesn’t look to be a huge thing to do. The Parisians have also lost just one of their last 38 home games in all competitions, and they possess two of the most dangerous strikers in world football. The great Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Uruguay star Edinson Cavani.

While Ibrahimovic was played under Mourinho, the current Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti led the PSG team to the quarter-finals of the competition last season, where they were knocked by Barcelona due to away goals. Their new aim is to win the Champions league, but they are taking a step-to-step scenario , where Chelsea is next on their list.  6-1 aggregate win over the German side, Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16, shows how serious and powerful they are.

Chelsea boss, Mourinho is aware of their striking force, and he said that Chelsea are not favourites in this one.

Mourinho: PSG have fantastic attacking players

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says his team are not favourites at a news conference on Tuesday (1st April) going into their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are dominant in France- Mourinho

The Spaniard, Azpilicueta is also aware of the threat that Ibrahimovic and PSG, pose.

Chelsea Defender Cesar Azpilicueta believes PSG will pose a threat to Chelsea’s chances of qualification to the semi-finals of the Champions League and thinks that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the best strikers in the world.

Still, all is not lost in front, and Mourinho will try to out-think Blanc to seal Chelsea progress and possibly to win the Champions league, with which Mourinho would become the only manager which manage to that with three different clubs (Porto FC and Internazionale so far).

Mourinho for this game still cant count for sure on the striker Samuel Eto’o (hamstring) while Marco van Ginkel (knee) is definitely out.

On the other side, PSG first goalscorer and the biggest star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic shows a respect to Chelsea, saying that PSG is still “new” in this, and that dont have anything to lose.

Speaking of the UCL’s title, Ibrahimovic said that if he wins it, it will be with PSG, as the French team would be his last in Europe.

PSG have two styles of play: Blanc
