John Terry did not train with Chelsea ahead of the club’s UEFA Champions League last 16, second leg game against Paris Saint-Germain in London. The French club lead 2-1 from the first leg a fortnight ago.

Script: Plenty on the mind of Guus Hiddink – but surely at the forefront, Paris Saint Germain and how to beat one of the most dominant sides in Europe.

PSG have only lost two matches this season and Chelsea trail the French Champions 2-1 from the first leg of their champions league round of 16 match. They aim to turn the tie in their favour at Stamford Bridge.

But it looks like they will have to do it without their inspirational captain John Terry. The defender hasn’t trained with the squad after suffering a hamstring injury.

It means that Gary Cahill and Baba Rahman will likely deputise and will have to deal with two of the most feared strikers in Europe – Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.

This is the third straight year that the two sides have met in the Champions League. Chelsea won the tie in 2014 before PSG knocked them out last season on away goals.

Its likely to be another close contest tonight as Chelsea look to end a disappointing season on a high note. But Hiddink and his squad know they will have to be at their very best to stand a chance.
