On 26 Andrey Arshavin’s free-kick wasn’t dealt with by the keeper for 2-0 Russia. A low left-footed finish from Roman Pavlyuchenko made it 3-0 four minutes later. Minutes before the break Alan Dzagoev spun in the box before whacking in number four, and on the hour Denis Glushakov claimed a close range header for the fifth. Everton winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov made it 6-0.
