The former Tottenham manager, Tim Sherwood revealed that he refused to sell Harry Kane during his time at Spurs despite the interest from many big clubs and the interest of Tottenham to sell him.

Harry Kane has made a great season so far under Mauricio Pochettino management as he has scored 26 goals in all competitions and he received his first call up from Roy Hodgson to represent his country.

Kane has secured his first appearance for Tottenham under Tim Sherwood management. Sherwood has worked with the striker during the time he was the manager of Tottenham’s Under 21 squad.

Tim Sherwood admits that he resisted to the offers he got in January last year. The current Aston Villa manager is pleased with Kane’s development at White Hart Lane.

“It’s great I resisted the temptation to get rid of him last January because perhaps he wouldn’t be the star he is for Tottenham. I would never have allowed him to be sold when I was there.I don’t name names but there was more than one,” said Sherwood.

The 21-year-old is set to make his International debut on March 27 where England will face Lithuania for Euro 2016 Qualifiers.
