Chelsea striker, Diego Costa scored twice for Spain to guide his country a 8-0 victory against Liechtenstein in the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers. 

New Spanish coach Lopetegui praised the striker’s display in the recent win over Liechtenstein.

Diego Costa who was dropped for the European competition in the summer, have found form to play for Spain again under new manager, Lopetegui.

Costa was unhappy with the Spanish media regarding their treatment with his form agianst Belgium.

Chelsea striker has found his lost form under Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and is eager to perform well for Chelsea after humiliating last season.

Spanish coach, Lopetegui said, ‘”In the end, the players are all master of their own destiny, we try to help the players, but Diego is a great player and he showed as much today [Monday].

“Of course, attackers are judged on so much more than goals, but we are happy for Diego – and for Alvaro – that he scored two goals.”

Costa also spoken after the victory and said,  “Not just the coach, but my team-mates always support me as well,

“I can only thank my team-mates. They never let me down and always support me.

“Things are going well for me at the moment.

“Sometimes bad things happen and an attacker needs goals. I got involved more and I knew the goals would come.”
