Neto to leave Italy, bound for Liverpool

Brazilian goalkeeper Neto has turned down a contract offer at current Italian club Fiorentina, further fuelling speculation that a move to Liverpool is on the cards. Fiorentina will try to cash in on the 25-year-old goalkeeper, before his current deal expires at the end of the season. Liverpool are on the look out for a new goalkeeper with Simon Mignolet out of form and Brad Jones injured. There is also reported interest from Roma and Juventus, but Liverpool looks his most likely destination.

Manchester City ready £25 million fee

Manchester City are reportedly readying a £25 million bid for Swansea City striker, Wilfried Bony. Bony has been the speculation of many clubs this transfer window, but Manchester City look most likely to land the Ivory Coast forward, after Manuel Pellegrini’s front-line resources have been stretched to the limit in recent weeks as injuries have robbed them of Sergio Aguero, Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs in the race to sign Schneiderlin

Manchester United have joined Arsenal and Tottenham in the race to sign Southampton central midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. United manager, Louis Van Gaal, is looking for a successor to replace long-serving Englishman Michael Carrick. Arsenal and Spurs are both willing to pay £27 million for the Frenchman, as both managers are true admirers of the midfielder.

Juve plot surprise Falcao move

Juventus are back in for a deal to sign Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco, as the club holds the belief that Falcao will not be staying at Manchester United beyond this season. The Italian champions were interested in the forward in the previous transfer window, but were not willing to match his demands of £300,000-a-week wages over the course of a one-season loan deal.

Varane could be joining Manchester United for a fee of £19 million

Manchester United are showing interest in a potential move for Real Madrid centre back, Raphael Varane. Reports in Spain are suggesting Madrid are willing to let the 21-year-old leave for a fee £19 million. Varane has struggled to get past Pepe into the starting line up, and with interest from United and Chelsea, a move looks likely if Real decide he is not wanted.

Everton ready to sell Barkley for large fee

Roberto Martinez is looking to let go of English midfielder Ross Barkley, to free up funds to strengthen a struggling Everton side. It is reported that the Toffees are willing to let the 21-year-old leave for a fee in excess of £46 million. Manchester City have been interested in Barkley for a couple of seasons and look likely to clinch a deal, possibly for a sum of £60 million.

Gerrard close to LA Galaxy deal

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is edging closer to striking a deal with US side LA Galaxy. The former England captain is closing in on a £3.9million 18-month deal, making him one of the highest paid players in the MLS. The 34-year-old will fill the gap left by Landon Donovan, who retired last month as all time MLS goalscorer.
