Arsenal won with a convincing 3-0 at Wolverhampton, foe who this was the seventh consecutive defeat, and nine consecutive games in which he had received at least two goals. Sebastien Bassong is already in the 8th minute, got a direct red card for tackle on Theo Walcott in the penalty area.
Leading scorer Robin van Persie, scored from the spot in the 9th minute for his 27th primary goal of the season. Two minutes later Walcott enrolled himself in the scorers, and for the final set 0-3 Benayoun in the 69th minute. Arsenal cemented third place in the rankings, now with five points over Tottenham and Newcastle, and seven more than Chelsea.
