The new champion of France for the first time in the history is Montpellier! The club which last season finisehd on the 14th place,this  year for  the first time in history infront od rich PSG, defenders Lille and Lyon became the new champion of France.

The last round Montpellier waited with three points ahead of Paris-SG, who was destined for the new champion,as it was  led by Carlo Ancelotti, a bunch of stars and even bigger pile of Qatari´s million.

Both of them eventually awaited visit to the  clubs from the bottom: the leader had to go at Auxerre, from the earlier travelers in the second division, while PSG played at Lorient, who  waited the last round just with a  point above the relegated zone.
