The Spanish La liga title race is still on as the two placed teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona have enrolled new easy wins. The Los Blancos remain the leading team, having two points more than the second placed side, Barcelona, but also a game less played, meaning the gap could extend to 5 points.

Zidane’s men increased the pressure on Barca in Liga BBVA’s title race with a 3-0 over Copa del Rey finalists Alaves. Benzema in the 31st opened the scoring for the home side, Isco lifted the same late in the game (85′) while Nacho only three minutes later sealed a win for the Los Blancos. Alaves who had their chances, especially in the second half, to level the score, remained empty handed, but no matter of a loss to Real Madrid, Alaves sit on the safe 10th place on La liga table.
